Manchester United's Wayne Rooney has won four Premier League titles and improved Liverpool will challenge for the Premier League title in the new season.

Liverpool, who finished sixth last term and have signed midfield trio Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing during the summer and they are have made some really good signings, said Rooney and i am sure they will be fighting harder than they ever have done to be up there. They will think they have a chance of winning the title.
Rooney will be aiming to collect a 5th Premier League winners' medal this season with United, but he wants to kick-off the season with a victory over FA Cup winners Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on 7 August and When you play at a club like Manchester United and the goal is to win all the competitions, said the England international.

The 25-year-old also said United's summer signings have made him feel like a relative veteran at the club and the United have bought 20-year-old goalkeeper David De Gea and teenage defender Phil Jones from Blackburn, as well as Ashley Young from Aston Villa and the have been a lot of changes this summer and when you look around the dressing room now, suddenly it's a lot younger place.

Liverpool have reached agreement with Blackpool for the transfer of Scottish midfielder Charlie Adam and the Anfield club said Adam, 25, will now travel to Merseyside for a medical and to discuss personal terms.

In the January transfer window the Reds had two bids of the second worth £6.5m rejected by the Seasiders, who were reportedly holding out for £9m and the Liverpool reopened talks at the end of a season for a player who had only 12 months left on his contract.
Adam, who was on the shortlist of the PFA Player of the Year award last season and joined Blackpool from Scottish Premier League club Rangers for the £500,000 in 2009 and he joins Liverpool, he will become manager Kenny Dalglish's second signing since they finished sixth in the Premier League last season.

Roma's Brazilian goalkeeper Alexander Doni could complete a move to Liverpool in a next 36 hours, according to his agent Ovidio Colucci and the clubs reached an agreement over Doni's transfer last month but the keeper rejected Liverpool's first offer, believing it to be too low.
