Manchester United protector Rio Ferdinand considers that his team-mate Wayne Rooney is not far from recurring to his goalscoring ways.
Rooney has scored only twice so far this season and hasn't found the back of the net in open play for the Old Trafford business in almost nine months. Ferdinand though believes the striker has played some promising football since recurring from injury.
"Everybody knows what happen over the last few weeks but Wayne's come back and he's looking sharp again," the protector told The Guardian.
Manchester United hope to bounce back from the dissatisfaction of Wayne Rooney's quit danger by snapping up £25 million rated Ajax striker Luis Suarez, according to talk SPORT.
Suarez, 23, has emerged as a highly coveted star across Europe after they helped himself to 49 goals in 48 appearance last term. His reputation as a marksman was improved at World Cup 2010 in Uruguay's march to the semi-final stage.
Ajax resists all efforts to prise the star from the Amsterdam Arena in the summer. Fresh financial concerns and Suarez's want to head for Old Trafford could see him replace Rooney.
